The Hygiene Bank is a non-profit community initiative that is in the process of charity registration. The organisation provides toiletries, beauty, grooming and hygiene essentials to people who can’t afford them. I met the founder,Lizzy recently, who explained to me that she felt no one should have to choose between washing or to feeding their children. Compelled to do something she put out a plea for toiletries and grooming/beauty essentials to her friends on WhatsApp. This went viral and donations flooded in. The reaction was overwhelming and within a few weeks, The Hygiene Bank was born.
HOW YOU CAN HELP

Decide who the bag is for – male or female.
Fill it up with toiletries, beauty, grooming and hygiene essentials – everyday items from deodorant or shampoo to a hairbrush or flannel; for women, sanitary wear and for men, shaving gear, plus maybe a few luxury treats and a personal note or Christmas card.
Take the filled bag (or bags!) to the salon BEFORE Saturday 22nd December (or another local drop-off point, check www.thehygienebank.com
