Margot Robbie Red Carpet Style
Happy Birthday Margot!
A big Happy Birthday is in order to the ever-stunning Australian beauty, Margot Robbie, who turned 25 on the 2nd of July! Margot was brought to mega-stardom with her roles in The Wolf of Wall Street and Focus and this year she is set to rocket to new heights, being featured as comic super-villain Harley Quinn in the up-coming film Suicide Squad.
To celebrate her big day, we thought that we would go through some of her best Red Carpet looks, as she never fails to ‘wow’ with flawless hair and makeup as well as killer outfits! If you’re inspired by our collection of Margot Robbie favourites, why not make her styles your own? Give us a call for a cut and/or colour consultation or pop into our style bar to try out some Red Carpet glamour!
Slicked Back Mini Pompadour (Focus Premiere)
An understated and effortlessly cool do, suitable for Red Carpet events, a Bride with a short crop or even a day in the office! Super sophisticated but still with an edge – that’s pretty hard to fault. Complimented with neutral tone makeup and a sheer monochrome maxi Giambattista Valli dress, which you can buy too on NET-A-PORTER.
Fishtail Pony (2015 Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ Scientific & Technical Awards Ceremony)
We just love this fresh take on a simple, middle part pony! Low ponytails have taken the Red Carpet by storm over the last year or so but there’s never been one quite like this – there’s something almost a bit ‘Game of Thrones’ about it, particularly when matched that that gorgeous, barely there, dewy makeup. Margot looks every inch the natural beauty.
If this ‘do can turn heads on the Red Carpet, then it’s bound to do the same for you, and what’s so great about it is that fishtail braids are one of those cheeky little numbers that look complicated but are actually fairly easy to do. Here’s how:
- Split hair into two sections
- Pull out half-inch sections from the outer edge of either side and the cross the smaller sections to the opposite side.
- Repeat this step until you reach the end of your hair, then secure with a clear elastic.
French Braid Crown (3rd Annual Australians in Film Awards Benefit Gala)
This isn’t just any old crown braid – this is so much more! The intricacy of this style goes way beyond the usual Red Carpet milkmaid style and it is just jam packed with texture and depth. This hairstyle is made up of not one, not two, but THREE french braids, all interwoven to create the finished effect – which is nothing short of epic. The slight lift at the front and the tousled edges created the perfect face-framing borders, making this a really flattering, feminine style, ideal for summer events.
Messy Updo With Accessory (The Swiss Marquee on Stakes Day)
Now THIS is how you wear a hair accessory! The choice of a pearl and crystal droplet headband is wonderful accompaniment to Margot’s flyaway, messy updo, keeping it casual but with a touch of ethereal majesty (never thought I’d be putting those two together!).
That head piece is delicate, ornate, totally on trend and what a fabulous alternative to the usual ‘day at the races’ hats and fascinators. Want!
