Meet our new friends……
The natural revolution wouldn’t be possible without the talent and passion of some very special women, without whom the Beauty Industry would be a very different place!
Alexandra Mann is a costume designer and artisan, who has launched her own brand of custom made bespoke travel accessories.
Her wash/makeup bags, are all hand made from fabrics that have been sourced from some exotic markets during her travels or vintage fabrics lovingly rescued from car boot sales, or the attic of an old stately home. Her work, which has already gained attention from Sunday Times Style, Vogue, 7th Man and Glass Magazine & Susie Bubble, Style Bubble blog after Alex was spotted during Liberty’s Best of British open call.
Her work is now stocked in Liberty in both beauty and bath/body department with great success. Alexandra Mann has worked with brands such as GQ, Adidas and Agent Provocateur to create bespoke, couture pieces.
Multi award winning skincare specialist Jane Scrivner is a local powerhouse.
She trials all her products on herself, so if it doesn’t make a difference, it doesn’t make it.
24 years of working in the skincare and therapy industry alongside 24 years of travel, learning, training, and instructing has taken her from Chile to China, Australia to Austria, from Switzerland to France, and finally, back home to Stratford upon Avon.
“For me”, says Jane, “faces alone aren’t beautiful, the skin is fabulous but the real beauty is behind the face, the person, what they stand for their personality and their style.”
We have been fans of Jane’s skincare virtually since she started out and have a very loyal following of our clients at the salon who love her amazing cleanser and fabulous facial oils.
Rose-Marie Swift has been a make-up artist for over 35 years. Her make-up has appeared in ads for Dianne Von Furstenburg, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton to name but a few.
Several years ago, Rose-Marie began to experience some health issues. After an extensive series of tests, she learned that her blood contained toxic levels of heavy metals including aluminum, barium, cadmium, lead and mercury as well as high levels of pesticides and other chemicals.
She was surprised when the technician asked if she worked in the cosmetics industry. Until then she had no idea that cosmetics could contribute to serious health issues. After years of rebuilding her own health, Rose-Marie realized that she wanted to help other women claim their right to healthy beauty. To achieve this goal she created RMS Beauty, her acclaimed line of organic colour cosmetics.
I feel so blessed to call these wonderful women my colleagues, inspiration and friends. Without their work, the Natural Beauty and Health industry really would be a different place.
